Past encounters with humanity have been unpleasant,

Endurance of the fake friendliness of others.

Offering acts of kindness has not been useful,

Sharing laughter or smiles didn’t make a difference,

Lifting morale for those in need of an ear to listen did not matter,

No one sees my kindness, no one recognizes my peaceful heart,

I’m vowing to protect my peace and to not allow others to attempt to reach my soul and bring wrath upon me.

I will never change who I am, I will not join the crusade of the evil that treads the Earth.

Don’t allow others to define you, if you are a kindhearted person, know that you can only be YOU, trying to fit in with the wrong crowds will not benefit you. When others you come in contact with lack compassion and love, separate yourself from them. If you have to work beside them, ignore their negativity, find ways to turn it around by doing or saying positive things to promote laughter and joy. Don’t let them change you and erase goodness from your heart.
