I stop and pause, but why?

I take a deep breath in and exhale out, but why?

My body feels numb and can’t move, but why?

It’s dark, I can’t see in front of me. “But why?”

Gravity seems to be pulling me back. But why?

My mind is blank, can’t think, but why?

Wait, I have an answer. This may be why.

It’s me standing in the way of my own destiny in life.

That’s why.
